This policy explains what IDE Solutions LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use TroubleFree WP, how we use it, and your choices.

1. What We Collect

  • Your account: your name, email address and password, which is stored only as a secure hash, your time zone, which we take from your browser so times show correctly, and which emails you want. If you turn on two-factor sign-in, we also keep its secret key (encrypted) and your recovery codes (only as secure hashes).
  • Your sites: each site's address and name, its TroubleFree WP access token (stored encrypted), WordPress and PHP versions, installed plugins and themes, the names of its backups, security findings, the settings you choose, and the labels you give it.
  • Activity: a record of changes to each site, including what was installed before and after, and the result of checks after updates.
  • Screenshots (sites with paid features): images of the homepage and the pages you choose to check, before and after updates. They show whatever those pages show to visitors.
  • Client reports (sites with paid features): the email addresses you enter for a site's clients, a copy of each report sent and who it went to, and your report branding. If you send reports through your own email server, we keep its settings and password (stored encrypted) and use them only to send your reports.
  • Billing: Stripe handles payments. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and your plan, but never your card details.
  • Messages: what you send us through Support, Feature Request and Feedback. If you choose to, a support message includes the site's WordPress, PHP and plugin versions and whether it's online.
  • Technical data: server logs, which can include IP addresses and browser details, used to keep the service running and secure.

We don't download your sites' content, databases or backup files. Backups stay wherever your backup plugin keeps them. To sign you into a site, we ask it for a list of its administrators when you use Log Into Site, but we don't keep that list.

2. How We Use It

  • to run TroubleFree WP: show your sites, run updates and backups, check for vulnerabilities and keep history;
  • to send emails you need, such as account, security alert, invitation, trial and billing emails, and updates on feature requests you've sent;
  • to send the client reports you choose to send, to the people you enter, and nothing else to them;
  • to answer your messages and improve TroubleFree WP;
  • to keep TroubleFree WP secure and prevent abuse.

We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

3. Who We Share It With

  • People you share a site with can see that site's data, and your name and email address.
  • Service providers that run parts of TroubleFree WP for us: Stripe (payments), our email provider (sending emails) and our hosting provider. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
  • The law: when we're legally required to, or to protect people or TroubleFree WP from harm.

Vulnerability data comes from Wordfence Intelligence. We download it and check your sites against it ourselves; we don't send your sites' details to Wordfence.

4. Cookies

We only use the cookies TroubleFree WP needs to work: one that keeps you signed in and one that protects forms from forgery. If you turn on two-factor sign-in and choose "Trust this device for 30 days", a third cookie remembers that device. We don't use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.

5. How Long We Keep It

  • Activity history: 30 days for free sites and 1 year for sites with paid features. Screenshots are deleted with their activity.
  • When you remove a site, we delete its history, screenshots and settings right away.
  • Copies of plugins and themes taken before updates are kept on your own site for 7 days.
  • When you delete your account, we delete it with its sites, history and screenshots. Copies in our backups are overwritten within 30 days. Billing records are kept as long as the law requires.

6. Security

Connections use HTTPS, access tokens are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and login links to your sites work once and expire after 2 minutes. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

7. Your Choices And Rights

  • Update your details or delete your account in Account Settings.
  • Choose which alert emails you get in Account Settings, and turn vulnerability alerts on or off for each site in Site Settings.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your information, or to object to how we use it. Contact us through Support and we'll respond within 30 days.

8. Children

TroubleFree WP isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

9. Changes To This Policy

We'll let you know about important changes by email or in the dashboard before they take effect.
